10 Years of Service: Celebrating QVet Stephen B.
On April 10, 2025, Stephen Baxter became the first team member in Quevera’s history to reach a decade of service, marking a milestone that speaks to his exceptional talent, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the QTeam. For ten years, Stephen has been at the heart of some of our most impactful efforts, bringing a thoughtful, analytical approach to every challenge he takes on. He doesn’t simply solve problems—he builds durable, scalable solutions that strengthen the organization long after the work is complete.
Stephen’s journey at Quevera has been defined by adaptability, deep technical expertise, and a natural ability to guide teams through complex transformations. Whether designing cloud architectures, shaping DevOps practices, mentoring engineers, or collaborating across disciplines, he approaches every responsibility with precision and professionalism. His work behind the scenes has consistently elevated the performance of our systems and the people around him, helping lay the groundwork for initiatives that continue to support mission and enterprise needs today.
Ask anyone who has worked alongside Stephen, and they’ll tell you he’s someone you can depend on in every sense. He brings calm to fast-moving conversations, clarity to complicated issues, and a level of dedication that inspires confidence. His
influence extends far beyond code and architecture—he has helped shape the way our teams think, collaborate, and move forward.
Our founders, Lee and Jamal Simms, shared a message that reflects how deeply valued he is within Quevera: “Stephen has helped drive our cloud journey with a level of dedication and leadership that has made a lasting impact. He set the pace early, earning our first AWS certification and helping guide our transformation with insight, humility, and consistency. We are grateful for everything Stephen and his family—Stacy, Leiana, Mia, and Rey—have poured into Quevera over the years. Their trust and support have meant the world to us, and we are honored to celebrate this milestone with them.”
