Quevera's Year of Giving: Join Us for a Life-Saving Blood Drive on February 23rd!
As part of Quevera’s commitment to community engagement and social responsibility, we are thrilled to announce our Year of Giving initiative, and for the month of February, we are hosting a Blood Drive in support of Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Why Donate?
Every year, more than 3,000 Luminis Health patients receive life-saving blood transfusions. These patients, our neighbors, friends, and family, are depending on generous individuals like you to give the gift of life. By donating blood, you play a vital role in ensuring a stable and readily available blood supply for those in need. It takes 8,500 units of blood products, each year, to support our community.
The Donation Process: Safe, Simple, and Swift
The donation process is safe, simple, and typically takes up to 45 minutes of your time. To be eligible to donate, you must be between the ages of 16 (with parental consent) and 74 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good health. We encourage donors to have a substantial meal one to two hours before the donation and to stay well-hydrated before and after.
